8:30 am - 9:00 am; 11:30 am - 12:30 pm; and 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm.

The Smarties Typical Daily Schedule

ARRIVAL	Office aid assists children from cars to classrooms.
DISCOVERY TIME	Children explore materials and interact with each other. Teacher works one on one with children on art projects and academic assessments.
CIRCLE TIME	Class gathers for opening rug time which includes calendar, positive character songs and appropriate social skills. Themed units are introduced.
PHONEMIC AWARENESS	Learning the sounds and letter names along with blending is taught with a puppet visitor and songs. Students identify beginning, middle, ending and rhyming sounds in words. Students also practice forming and writing letters while holding pencils correctly.
MATH	Math skills are developed and practiced using manipulatives.
OUTSIDE or GYM TIME	Large muscles are exercised and children play and interact freely.
STORY TIME	Well-written literature is presented focusing on character and storyline development. Both fictional and non-fictional books are read and discussed.
MUSIC and MOVEMENT	A large variety of songs, dance, and musical instruments are used.
ART	Art activities often reflect the literature of the day or seasonal themes and holidays. Children explore and create their own designs with various mediums. Two classical artists are spotlighted each month.
DEPARTURE	Children are taken to the parents' car for pickup.

Please keep in mind:

Registration fee reserves selected class times.
Children who are sick with fevers, colds, and flu need to stay home to prevent spreading the illness.
Children should bring a backpack to school daily. Label it with their name. Check their bags for their workpapers and notes from the school.
