8:30 am - 9:00 am; 11:30 am - 12:30 pm; and 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm.

Smart Start Typical Daily Schedule

ARRIVAL	Office aid assists children from cars to classrooms.
WELCOME TO CLASSROOM	The teacher works one on one with the students on academic skills. Children enjoy quiet activities using fine motor skills such as writing, puzzles, lacing beads and more until everyone arrives.
CIRCLE TIME	Class gathers for an opening welcome which includes calendar, weather, music and the main unit lesson. Stories are read about the themed topics.
CENTERS	Different center activities revolve around the themed units of study. During centers, the teacher works individually with the students on art projects and academic assessments. After centers, children discuss their life events.
PHONICS	Group lessons assist the children in learning the letters and sounds each day.
MATH	Children move to the rug for math activities using manipulatives.
OUTSIDE or GYM TIME	Children play together developing large muscle skills and appropriate social skills.
CLOSING CIRCLE TIME	Children gather for songs and show-n-tell. They are encouraged to bring items which reinforce the unit lessons.
DEPARTURE	Children are taken to the parents’ car for pickup.

Please keep in mind:

Registration fee reserves selected class times.
Children who are sick with fevers, colds, and flu need to stay home to prevent spreading the illness.
Children should bring a backpack to school daily. Check their bags for their work, homework and notes from the school. Please label the backpacks with their name.
