TUITION - Monthly tuition is due by the 5th of the month. Timely payments are appreciated. A late fee of $10 will be assessed after the 5th. We accept checks, credit cards, and cash as forms of payment. Tuition payments can be dropped in the payments boxes located in the front of the building and in the front office. Teachers are not responsible for receiving payments.
ARRIAL AND DEPARTURE - Upon arrival, pull up to the curbside. An aide will assist the children from their cars into the school. At departure time, the children will be held in the glass vestibule until your arrival, then assisted to their cars. Please display your child's name in the right front window. Continue to pull forward to the end of the sidewalk so more cars can be in the pickup lane. Late pick up fees of $5.00 will be applied after 10 minutes.
ENTERING BUILDING - Please park your car in the designated parking spaces and not at curbside.
NEWSLETTERS - Newsletters will be sent home monthly. They contain an overview of the curriculum and activities your child will be doing. Reviewing these concepts at home will solidify and deepen your child's understanding.
CLOTHING – Uniforms are not required. Casual, comfortable, modest and easy to manage play wear is appropriate. Girls are required to wear shorts or tights under their dresses or skirts. Expensive clothing does not need to be worn because the children play and work hard. Paint smocks are worn when painting. Have your child dress appropriately for the weather so we can play outside. Please label jackets and coats with names.
BATHROOM - All children need to be potty trained. Children are expected to handle bathroom functions sufficiently on their own. Please have them wear manageable clothing. Parent will be notified when there is an accident. My Smart World management reserves the right to charge an additional fee if a child has accidents.
SHOW-N-TELL - Children may bring items to share with the class on the day their teacher assigns. Items of nature, family photos, family trip pictures, or a picture they drew or simply telling about an experience are ideal. The intent of show-n-tell is not the object itself, rather the opportunity of speaking to a group. MSW is not responsible for lost or broken items.
BIRTHDAYS - Birthdays celebrations are special. Please send pictures to spotlight your child. A treat to share with the class is optional. Those children with summer birthdays may bring pictures anytime. Just coordinate with the teacher.
FIELD TRIPS - Field Trips provide wonderful hand's-on learning opportunities that expand your child's world. Parents are encouraged to attend. Arrival and departure for field trip day is at the field trip location and not at the preschool building. Parents need to sign in with the teacher.
VOLUNTEERS - Parents may assist in the classrooms anytime. Children really enjoy having their parents meet their friends. Teachers also appreciate the assistance.
PHOTOGRAPHS - My Smart World Learning Center reserves the right to photograph students and use thephotographs on the MSW Blog, in the classroom and in a booklet.
SNACKS AND FOOD - Treats or food are offered occasionally. Please notify your teacher of any food allergies. Gum is not allowed at school.
DISCIPLINE - Classrooms are governed by one simple rule - Respect which includes respect for others, property and self. Appropriate social and communication skills are developed and encouraged. |
