TUITION - Monthly tuition is due by the 5th of the month. Timely payments are appreciated. A late fee of $10 will be assessed after the 5th. We accept checks, most credit cards, and cash as forms of payment. Please put checks in the tuition box located outside at the front of the building. Submit Cash and Credit card payments to the front office. Teachers are not responsible for receiving payments.
ARRIAL AND DEPARTURE - Upon arrival, pull up to the curbside. Children are assisted from their cars into the school. At departure time, the children are held in the glass vestibule until parents arrive. Children are assisted to cars by teachers. Name tags are made on orientation day, please display the name tag in the right front window. Continue to pull forward to the end of the sidewalk so more cars can be in the pickup lane. Late pick up fees of $5 per ten minutes are assesed after designated pick-up times.
ENTERING BUILDING - When entering the building please park in the designated parking spaces and not at the curbside.
NEWSLETTERS - Newsletters are sent home monthly. Newsletters contain important monthly dates and activities, and an overview of the curriculum. Reviewing these concepts at home solidifies and deepens the children's understanding.
CLOTHING – Casual, comfortable, modest and easy-to-manage playwear is appropriate. Expensive clothing is not necessary because the children play, work hard and occasionally get messy. Girls are required to wear shorts or tights under their dresses and skirts. Paint smocks are worn when painting. Dress children appropriately for the weather so they can play outside. Please label jackets and coats with their names.
BATHROOM - All children need to be potty trained. Children are expected to handle bathroom functions sufficiently on their own. Please have them wear manageable clothing. Parents are notified when there is an accident. My Smart World management reserves the right to charge additional fees for reoccurring bathroom cleanup.
SHOW-N-TELL - Children may bring items to share with the class on assigned days. Children can bring items of nature, family photos, family trip pictures, a picture they drew, or they can simply tell about an experience. The intent of show-n-tell is not the object itself, rather the opportunity of speaking to a group. My Smart World is not responsible for lost or broken items.
BIRTHDAYS - Birthdays celebrations are special. Please send spotlight pictures to share with the class. Bringing party bags or small toys, such as pencils, crayons or bubbles to share with the class, is optional. No treats or food items please. Children with summer birthdays may bring pictures; coordinate it with the teacher.
FIELD TRIPS - Field Trips provide hands-on learning opportunities that expand your child's world. Parents are encouraged to attend. Arrival and departure for field trip day is at the field trip location and not at the preschool building. Parents need to sign their child in with the teacher.
VOLUNTEERS - Parents may assist in the classrooms anytime. Children enjoy their parents meeting classmates. Teachers also appreciate the assistance.
PHOTOGRAPHS - My Smart World Learning Center reserves the right to photograph students and use the photographs on the MSW Blog, and in individual portfolios.
NO SNACKS AND FOOD - Because of diet preferences, no-sugar diets, gluten-free diets, harmful food dyes, heightening food allergies among children, and the Utah Health Department regulations, My Smart World Learning center has a no-food policy. To ensure the safety of the children, daily schedules do not inculde snacks and treats.
DISCIPLINE - Respect governs the classrooms. Children learn respect for others, property, and self. Practicing appropriate social and communication skills helps increase positive interaction among students. |
