Level III: 5-6 yr olds

Kindergarten Classes - These Kindergarten classes are for those parents and children who prefer a small class with advanced learning.  Class sizes are limited to 12 students.  Children receive individual attention in a positive learning setting.

Kindergarten Extension Classes  - Kindergarten Extension classes are for those children who are in a public Kindergarten class or those who have taken Level II preschool The Smarties. Choose to attend either 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week AM or PM classes. 

The curriculum supplements, enriches and enlarges their learning experiences.  Content matter is very rich and full.

LANGUAGE & LITERATURE:

Reading: Reading is taught Phonetically, insuring children know the sounds of the letters and phonograms (blends, two vowel words)  Children will learn the 29 rules of spelling. A sample and description of these are on the tutoring page.

Poems & Sayings; Aesops Fables; Story book reading

HISTORY & GEOGRAPHY:  World History & Geography, American History & Geography

VISUAL ARTS:  examine artwork of artists and create own materpieces using various media.

MUSIC: beat, loud and quiet, fast and slow, high and low. listen to variety of music types.

MATHEMATICS:  Patterns & Classifications, Numbers and number sense, Money, Computation, Measurement and Geometry.

SCIENCE:  Plants & Plant growth, Seasons & Weather, Animals and their needs, Human body, Taking care of the Earth, An invisible force: Magnetism and stories about scientists.
